ChromeSigninError -206

For the longest time, I couldn’t sign into Chrome on iOS and was getting the following error: ChromeSigninError -206. I found the solution here:!topic/calendar/kb8RlssVKbY

I’m storing the answer here in case that goes away and since the actual solution was buried way down in the thread and was not marked well as the solution (or maybe it was one of many solutions that maybe work for some people, but this is the one that worked for me).

I have a non-gmail email account as my login for Google and somehow they’d set my email address as my name in my personal info. So, the fix was to sign into my Google account at and to change my Name from my email to my actual name. I then went back into Chrome on my iPhone and it worked immediately.

This is Nutty! Thanks for archiving the fix. The -206 error is gone once you rename the account to anything other than the foreign e-mail account name.
